I never thought of writing about how to dress for Christmas, but that's life: it surprises us with things we never even imagined. So... why did I decide to do a post about this? Well, because I've noticed that The internet places a lot of emphasis on very, very formal looks at this time of the year.

Not bad, but for a family Christmas dinner, do you really dress like that? I personally don't. That's why I want to bring you other, more realistic proposals.

I will tell you, therefore,  how to dress if you're a man for Christmas, taking your basic outfits to a completely Christmassy level. and in style. All you have to do is change a couple of clothes and add a winter accessory or two to look stylish. Without further ado, let's get started.

1.The classic outfit using a Christmas jumper

We see this kind of jumpers every year and most of them are repeated styles that actually lack style. The outfit is simple: a Christmas jumper, jeans and boots. They are, in some cases, casual styling.

If you want to look better, I suggest you change the christmas jumper for a more minimalistic turtleneck jumper. and more timeless. Besides the fact that this type of jumper makes you look better in your figure, it highlights your shoulders, arms and back, giving you a more fit look, sticking to the silhouette of your body.

I have to tell you also that the fact that this one is minimalist gives the versatility to wear it at other times of the year. Trousers are always a great option to combine this type of jumper, as well as good shoes or casual tennis shoes.

2.Avoid a bit of seasonal colours.

The following Christmas outfit is based on use lighter colours. It is very common that at this time of the year it is difficult to combine the colours that are in season, so many people opt for the same basic colours as always.

Yes, I'm talking about black and white. And it's not that they are colours that don't stand out, but I'm bored of the same thing. It even seems to me that this shows a lack of creativity and that you don't dare to make changes in your life (but I'm not going to get intense).

The fact is that these are not the only colours that we can combine this winter season. Let's remember that the colours for this winter season are:

    • Santón (an earthy colour similar to sand),
    • Coffee,
    • Amor blow (a radiant orange)
    • Samba (a voluptuous red that conveys energy and optimism)
    • Blue and tan pink (a faint pink)

The combinations that we can achieve with these colours are endless. So instead of using a simple style, you can opt for a cooler style with a brown jacket or a jumper, a sand-coloured T-shirt... Or jeans paired with a good pair of Chelsea boots or, in this case, a pair of casual trainers or a pair of shoes.

    3.Why wear so many clothes?

I also want to talk to you about not overloading yourself with clothes. Let's remember that less is more and, unless you're looking for a complete street style look, more focused on rap with hints of hip hop and cyberpunk.

It is very common for this mistake to be made on upper body garments, where it is easier to add garments. Try not to overdo it, as for example wear a T-shirt, a sweatshirt, a jacket and a hat on top.

Although they can be combined, the impression it reflects is a silhouette saturated with colours. So stick to three outfits. It's true, sometimes we don't know what to wear because we don't have winter-specific clothes and we choose to wear a suit. There are, however, other options, such as:

    • A casual blazer who can get us out of trouble
    • A good jacketwhich are always suitable for a great Christmas style.

    Beanies or hats?

With the cold season, it is very common that to go out in the streets and cover our head from the cold, we make use of hats or the already known beanies. However, this garment, even though it is a classic, is aIf you want to stand out from the crowd, it's better to change it for a hat.

And I'll explain why: with this accessory you'll be able to stand out from the rest. In fact, will make you look like a modern artist and even add an air of sophistication to your look (it all depends on how you wear it).

Don't be afraid of the hats, because you'll get a fresher look and not so common, at least not in our country.
